Step-by-step guide on how to register for Corporate Tax
Step 1:

Visit the Emara tax site by using this link https://eservices.tax.gov.ae/#/Logon . If you have an existing account you can login using your credentials. Alternatively you can log in using your UAE Pass. If you do not have an EmaraTax account, you can sign-up for an account by clicking the ‘sign up’ button. If you have forgotten your password, you can use the “forgot password” feature to reset your password.
If you wish to login via UAE Pass, you will be redirected to UAE Pass. On successful UAE Pass login, you will be redirected back to the EmaraTax online user dashboard.
Note: from 30/09/24 signup and login will only be available via UAE Pass.
Step 2:

After successfully logging in, you will be directed to the Emara tax dashboard where the Taxable Person list screen is displayed. It displays the list of the Taxable Person linked to your EmaraTax user profile. If you are a VAT registered taxable person, you will see it appear on this list. If it’s empty that means you must create a taxable person.
Step 3:

To create a new Taxable Person, enter the mandatory details and click ‘Create’. The new Taxable Person will be displayed in the list. Now select the Taxable Person from the list and click ‘View’ to open the dashboard
Step 4:

On the Emara tax Taxable Person dashboard, click the 3 buttons on the far right of the corporate tax section. When you move forward, you will see the instructions and guidelines. Read them so you can move forward with the application process, it will include what information you need to complete the CT registration application.
Step 5:

After reading the guidelines and instructions, Click Start to begin the Corporate Tax Registration Process. Note: The registration process is divided into different brief sections, you cannot move forward to the next step without completing all the mandatory fields. The fields which are optional are marked as optional next to the field name.
Step 6:

From the list in the entity details section, select the entity type of your business. Note that the input fields in this section may vary based on the entity type selected.
Note: You can save or cancel the application at any step by clicking the ‘Save as Draft’ or ‘Cancel’ button. Once you complete the necessary information related to entity type, click “Next Step” to save and proceed to the “Identification Details Section”
Step 7:

Based on the selected entity type, Provide the main Trade License details in the identification details section and click on the “Add business activities” to add all business activities related to the trade license.
Step 8:

Add all mandatory business activity details and click “Add”. Select the primary activity from the list of Activities.
Step 9:

Click “Add Owners” to add owners who have ownership of more than 25% in the entity registered. Enter the relevant details of the owner and click “Add”.
Step 10:

After entering all the details of owners, in the next step you must select “Yes” if you have more than one branch and put the trade license and each required detail. If there are no branches click “Next”.
Step 11:

Click “Next” and you will see the “Contact Details”. Enter the details of the registered address of the office. If you have multiple addresses, provide details of the place where most of the day-to-day activities of the business are carried out. Note: If you are a foreign business applying to register for UAE CT, you may choose to appoint a tax agent in the UAE. In such cases, provide the necessary details.
Step 12:

After providing all the necessary details, click next and add “Authorized Signatory”. Enter all the necessary details of authorized signatory and click “Add” to save them.
Step 13:

Now, proceed to the “Declaration and Review” Stage and on this page, you can see all the information you have inputted for the registration of corporate tax.
Review the information carefully and check the box to declare that the information you have provided is correct.
Step 14:

Click “Submit” to submit the application for Corporate Tax.
After your application is submitted successfully, a Reference Number is generated for your submitted application. Note this reference number for future communication with FTA. What’s next?
● Once the application is submitted, the FTA shall approve, reject or resubmit for additional information and notify the applicant accordingly.
● If the FTA requires any further details from you in order to assist with the verification of your application, you will receive an email notification setting out the information required from you.
● Once the FTA confirms acceptance of your application, you will be notified of the decision.
